April Make: Get your pastry on with a little “sugar and spice”

Jordan and Cambrie have planned a special April Make. See below for all the mouth-watering details.

ATTENTION: PLEASE SEE DATE EDIT BELOW!

April's Monthly Make will be a combined Birthday party for Lenna and Bronwyn!

The kids will be decorating cupcakes and sugar cookies to their heart's content. There will be frosting and candy galore! All are invited to attend this Spring Birthday event. Bring your aprons and your creativity.

Lenna and Bronwyn are happy to just enjoy the company of a bunch of crazy friends hopped up on sugar, so no presents please (and we aren't just saying that so that you will be the only one who shows up without a gift. We mean it!)

Please RSVP in the comments section of this post or to cjsondrup@yahoo.com, so we know how many “makers” to expect.

-Jordan and Cambrie

Editors note: by the way makers, this activity will be FREE courtesy of the little birthday girls and their moms. We will meet in the church Primary room Wednesday the 15th of April at 10 am.

Free Days

Thea Nicodemus gave me a newspaper clipping that informed readers of some family events and activities for Colorado residents. The best part is…these events are FREE! I have listed the events by date on the calendars below. I have also included links to the facilities on the side bar for your convenience. Thank you Thea for thinking of us make-monthly-participants!

Leprechaun Luring: Rainbow Art

I don’t know about all of you but Hendrix and I plan on catching some leprechauns this month! What better way to lure them in but with a beautiful rainbow? So for this month’s make we decided we could make rainbow garlands and butterflies from coffee filters and watercolors.

PROJECT DETAILS:
WHERE and WHEN
? We will meet in the church Primary room at 10 am on Thursday the 12th of March. (see calendar below)
MOO-LAH: The fee for this project will be $3 per child, which you can bring with you.
RSVP: On or before Tuesday the 10th of March so I can have the supplies ready for you. (Leave a comment or email me).
ALSO: If you have any medicine droppers or children’s paintbrushes that you can bring to share, that would be very helpful.

By the way, Hendrix and I will also be making a sweet leprechaun trap at home following THESE instructions. For more St. Patrick ’s Day crafts and activities see Family Fun magazine HERE

Are you planning a St. Patrick’s day extravaganza this year? If so, you simply must make THIS giant rainbow cake or at least THESE mini rainbow cakes.

And if you just can’t get enough color exploration, get some more rainbow projects from the links HERE courtesy of the Let’s Explore blog.
